While exploring a remote stretch of the Olympic Peninsula, I noticed the sound of moving water just beyond the trees. What began as a brief stop along the road became an hour of quiet observation beside an unnamed creek that feeds the East Fork Humptulips River. Each photograph in this series reflects a different moment within that experience — from the first glimpse of falling water to the soft calm beneath the ferns.
This project is about listening as much as seeing. It is about the rhythm that exists where light, water, and stone meet, and how even the smallest cascade can hold a sense of presence far larger than itself. Standing there, I was reminded that beauty often hides in the overlooked places, waiting patiently for the one who takes the time to pause and notice.
