My travels through California have taken me from the granite cliffs and valleys of Yosemite National Park to the mountain lakes and forests of the eastern Sierra Nevada. I've also explored sections of the central and northern California coast, where the landscape changes again.
Much of this collection comes from time spent photographing Yosemite and the Mammoth Lakes area. The rock formations, forests, lakes, and mountain scenery offer different subjects depending on the season, weather, and light. Along the coast, I've photographed the rugged shoreline near Big Sur and the redwood forests farther north.
This gallery brings together my black-and-white photographs from those travels. I invite you to explore the collection and find a photograph that speaks to you.
Some of these photographs were made during visits to familiar landmarks, while others came from quieter places I encountered along the way. Together, they reflect the different landscapes I've explored throughout California.
